 Whoops-a-daisy! You’ll regret this to be the ever-made biggest mistake in your lifetime. Step into theatres presuming this to be a comedy flick to get yourselves brimmed with ruefulness and annoyance. Had the makers viewed first copy before patting the shoulders of Paritossh? Of course, there are few hilarious moments that will get your faces sparkled with smile, but that doesn’t last long. Rest of the moments, it’s all about yawning and blaming yourselves for booking tickets for this show. It was really an affirmative outlook when the playwright stepped into the shoes of auteur, but then there isn’t a single quotient that wins him applause.
Paritossh Painter could’ve better worked on a good scripting off this genre. Wordlessly, ‘Paying Guests’ doesn’t gratify anyone, expect few if they pretty enjoy the double-entendre dialogues. Alas, the filles we find here seem to have done nothing other than appearing short tops-n-skirts. Maybe, if guys were anticipating such show, they’ve have something to rejoice here.
But then, if one really wants to watch this flick, don’t get your temper broken lose out like hell on those who recommended this.
Fair-handsome ladkas disguising themselves as missies isn’t off-the-wall in Silver Screens. Right from Robin Williams of Mrs. Doubtfire – Our Govinda of Aunty No.1 everyone has entertained on this panorama. On the contrastive grounds, the charming lads dressing up like girls do lit-up with some amusing actions, but not exceed your expectations.
What happens when four young, fun loving boys [Shreyas Talpade, Javed Jaffrey, Ashish Chowdhary and Vatsal Sheth] begin a crazy house hunt which takes them through a series of ultra comical hurdles in a bid to find that one roof that can tolerate and shelter their combined problems?
 In the search for a new accommodation, these crazy friends manage to convince their crazier landlord Ballu (played by Johnny Lever) to keep them as paying guests but, Ballu has one condition i.e. he wants only couples.
They give in to his conditions but how-they are all bachelors! Who will play their wives?
The new drama triggers a serious of confusions that builds into the rich complexities of mistaken identities and a climax of comic wizardries.
Wanna know who scores brownie points here? Obviously it’s Shreyas Talpade and Ashish Chowdary. Again, we’ve Javed Jaffrey getting nerved out as in some of his previous films ‘Victoria No.203’ and recent release ‘8X10 Tasveer’. Is he trying to overdo to sustain his tapering career? Chunky Pandey and Vatsal Seth have tried living up to expectations. As mentioned earlier, Celina Jaitley, Neha Dupia and Sayali Bhagath have nothing to spell other than skin shows. Johnny Lever goes for a commendable take.
Musical score by Sajid-Wajid is a terrific letdown. Except ‘Jack n Jill’, nothing really turns your attention. Eye-catching visuals of exotic abroad locations do enchant us and there’s nothing more attractive on technical aspects.
On the whole, ‘Paying Guests’ isn’t worth watching film even just to kill your time. Precisely, don’t allow them, even if these tenants pay rental fee of billion dollars...
Verdict: Don’t risk yourselves with these guests.
