 ‘Bhagavan’, -is the movie which made history by completing its shoot in just below 17 hours. In fact, this is the first time, a full length commercial venture is completed within such a short span of shooting time in Mollywood .Directed by debutante Prashanth Mambully, the movie tells a plot based on anti-terrorism.
The movie has Super star Mohanlal as Dr .Balagopal, who is working in a famous hospital in the city. In one special day in his life, the state Home Minister arrives at the hospital to have special checkup on his own health conditions. But a terrorist group who were closely following the schedules of the Home minister, lay siege on the hospital and take the minister as a hostage. The government is offered very little time to act as the group of terrorists threatens to blast the entire construction and lives inside. The chief physician Dr Balagopal is now destined to take some steps that will ensure safety of the minister. Through his intelligent act and with the support of the commando's, the doctor manages to free the hospital and its inmates.
'Bhagavan' also features a big star cast including Ibrahimkutty, Sudheesh, Lakshmi Gopalaswamy, Shafna, Lena, Lakshana, Anu Anand and Nanda Paalat in other important roles. The movie was shot simultaneously with five cameras headed by Lokanathan and was completed in 90 shots. Bhagavan will feature four songs written by Murugan kaattakada, Raajeev alungal, Gireesh puthenchery and Jophy tharakan. Produced by Vijesh Mani in the banner of Golden Valley movies, 'Bhagavan' is distributed by Anaswara cinemas. The movie is expected to join the Box office by the mid of May.
