Ace director Vinayan has been known for his ability for taking risks and presenting varieties of differences in every film. These attempts has even made a clichéd subtitle for his every movie that reads’ another different Vinayan film. But his attempts to make it good with the so called differences, has not been working quite well for his last few films in the box office, which resulted in half baked run for his movies like 'Black Cat', 'Adhisayan' and 'Boy Friend'. Any way, Vinayan with a number of projects under his sleeves has turned out to become a maverick director usually given to laughing at critics and scathing reviews, as he will start engaged in the works of his next film on the very next day , his present one gets completed.
And for this year end of 2007, Vinayan is bringing together some of his finds from the young star list for the new film curiously titled 'Hareendran Oru Nishkalangan' Indrajeeth, Manikuttan and Jayasuriya, who were presented to Malayalam filmdom by Vinayan in his earlier films is also joined by Bala, Bhama and Sherin to complete the lead players in this new film which tells the story of youth who works in the booming IT field of the country. Indrajith plays the title character Hareendran a Young IT business man. He is supported in all his endeavors by Gopala Krishnan popularly known as G K. Both of them, who like fast life, had a plenty of differences in characters. But the sole aim of making it big in life propelled them through their differences.
G K had a love in Pooja, a modern stylish girl, and the only daughter of gulf returned business man Vasudevan, who has turned out to be a full time drunkard in the recent days. Vasudevan presently depended a lot on his daughter's earnings and due to this G K very well becomes his important enemy. The third person in the lead of the film is Alex, an electrical engineer and young political leader who lives for his ideals. Manikkuttan, another Vinayan find is donning this serious mature character, for the first time in his career. He also has a Lady love in Indhu.
Vinayan is trying to tell the story of erosion of ideals among a young generation who loves to live every moment of their life in grandeur. It also deals with the fate of people who are accused of being committed a crime that happens without their faintest knowledge. Taking the plot from a short story, developed by his son Vishnu Vijayan for a tele film, Vinayan has altered the basic plot with screen play and dialogues that suit the format of a big film. The ace director has also taken the steps to keep the mood of a racy suspense film, even when it also targets the family audience.
Bhama who made a good debut in 'Nivedhyam' appear as Indhu in the film while Sherin who debuted into Malayalam with 'Moonnamathoraal' is Pooja. Jagathy, Salim Kumar, Rajan P Dev, Cochin Haneefa, Ambika and Narayanankutty appear in the other prominent roles. The film will have three songs written by Vayalar Sharath, Rajeev Alungal and Prabha Varma set to music by Berny Ignasious. Produced by Satheesh Nair in the banner of Nandikesh Films, the film is all set to grace the theatres by the 17th of November.
