Kusthi Preview

Prabhu and Karthik have seen better times together. Both have been big stars in their own right several years back.

But times are different now. At least, Prabhu is riding high as a producer after the spectacular success of Chandramukhi. But Karthik is still clutching at the straws.

Kushti, starring the duo together, is almost ready. After Agni Natchatiram and Urimai Geetham,this is the film they are doing together (we are not including Swayamavaram in the list). A fun movie, Kusti is directed by Raj Kapoor.

Prabhu is paired with Maanya while Karthik teams up with Flora. Others in the cast are Vijaya Kumar, Radha Ravi and Y Gee Mahendra.

According to Raj Kapoor, 'the film will be more of a slapstick comedy. The huge star cast is a rarity and has given the teething edge to the storyline. You will find a huge dose of magic comedy instead of the conventional one. The characters of Prabhu and Karthik are in sharp contrast to their spitting-venom ways in Agni Natchatiram.'

Besides directing, Raj Kapoor has also penned a song in the movie.

Both Karthik and Prabhu are known for their timing and comedy. They have given one of their best performances in the movie, he added.

Following the success in Chandramukhi, Prabhu has Kusti and Paasakiligal lined up for release.

Though the movie was completed long back, due to various reasons, it could not grace theatres.Eventually all problems have been sorted out to facilitate its release in December.

For Karthik, this is a make or break film as his career hinges on the film's success. His attempts at comeback have looked jinxed so far.
