Inspired by the legacy set by Ghantasala, LV Gangadhara Shastri aimed to accomplish a difficult task - render the Gita's 700 slokas, together with the meaning.  At an event held to appreciate his hallowed work, Honourable Governor of Andhra Pradesh and others gave a pat on his back.

ESL Narasimhan, Governor, said that the main aim of the Gita was to propagate the ideals of Gnana, Bhakti and Karma to the humanity.  He congratulated Shastri on attempting to sing the Gita.

Dasari Narayana Rao said that Ghantasala's rendering of the Gita was Andhra Pradesh's pride.  "The experiment which Shastri has attempted is worthy of high praise.  Singing the 700 slokas is not highly praise-worthy."

Shastri informed that his music (he has music-directed the songs himself) mixes the influences of classical Carnatic, Hindustani, Janapada, Lalitha and Western musics.  The album makes use of the technology of Dolby 5.1.

The song compendium will be unveiled on the hands of the President of India.  Eighteen heads of various Hindu Mutts across the country would be gracing the release of the album in Hyderabad.
