A Thaman Musical

In this section, we are going to review the songs from 'Prince', which is an Aditya Music album.

Who Am I?

Singer: Dinker Kalvala

Lyricist: Ramajogayya Sastry

This is Thaman living by his forte. This is also Thaman understanding the rhythm of mainstream Kollywood music and delivering music that ensures Sandy's dance choreography capitalizes on Sivakarthikeyan's dancing talent. You would have no complaints after listening to Dinker Kalvala's energetic rendition; his voice is also not booming, letting the mood of the song be. Sastry's lyrics are enjoyable.

A Thaman Musical

Jessica

Singer: Thaman S

Lyricist: Ramajogayya Sastry

Thaman brings electrifying impact to the table as a musician. He does rehash a bit of his 'Oo Baava' flavour from 'Prati Roju Pandage' at one point. But, markedly, the song sounds refreshing throughout. Ramajogayya Sastry's lyrics use the crossover love story (the hero is a Telugu, while the heroine is a Westerner) by mixing landmarks from Hyderabad (such as Durgam Cheruvu and Cable Bridge) with those in the West. All in all, the playful song keeps us hooked!

A Thaman Musical

Bimbiliki Pilapi

Singers: Ram Miriyala, Ramya Behara, Sahithi Chaganti

Lyricist: Ramajogayya Sastry

The lyrics capture the crossover nature of the love story, considering the female lead is not an Indian as per the story. Sastry's lyrics are understandably laced with English words such as 'Innocent face'. Musically, Thaman approaches the song like it is a conventional film. It has to be seen what the rest of them are going to be like, but this one feels like it has been done for a mass masala hero rather than Sivakarthiekyan. The singers showcase their talents.
