Who is SurajPancholi? A more interesting question is what did surajpancholi do that entitled him a place in the same prison that holds some of the criminal greats of India? According to a lot of people he committed the heinous and despicable crime of 'abetting suicide'.
My heart goes out to Jiah Khan. A young soul with a lot of potential lost. What a waste.
But how exactly did SurajPancholi the evil abettor of suicide drive her to her death???
The answer is actually very simple.
He was in a relationship with her.
Every relation has ups and downs. And apparently so did suraj and Jiah's. But here Jiahjust happened to be a very emotionally unstable person. This is a fact and not debatable. But what is debatable is the reaction Jiah's suicide evoked. A clearly unstable girl commits suicide, lets hang the boyfriend!!
What the hell? Why? Because she left behind a suicide note?(This by the way is now under question because it was found days after the suicide under questionable circumstances, and I honestly don't see the logic of hiding your suicide note. And not to mention the revelation of another set of letters that blatantly contradict the suicide note. since when did eyesight not be a requirement for Indian police, you can do all the specialist analysis in the world but the clear and obvious fact is the two letters were definitely written by different people. I think it is absurd that no body wants to raise these questions in the name of miss guided political correctness.)
How much stock can you give a suspect suicide note left by a proven unstable person?
So what is abetting suicide?
According to the law it is defined as, instigating or emotionally and or physically driving a person to commit suicide.
But in reality anyone who is even remotely connected with a suicide victim is a potential miscreant.
In this public opinion driven state of affairs in India 'abetting suicide' amounts to: a girl is dead, public want blood, hang a boy PERIOD.
Wake up people. Bad things happen. That is life. We do not have to resort to vulgar black and white explanations and justifications for them.
This shows a very scary trend, where a man and his future is held hostage by default by any woman stable or otherwise just because they are in a relationship.
Suraj just happened to be in a relationship that went bad. Is he to blame for Jiah's death? I don't know.
But I do know he does not deserve to be hung out to dry for it!
