Adivi Sesh Interview

Adivi Sesh is very confident that his upcoming film 'Dongaata' will be a turning point in his career. He talks about the film, his character, working experience with Manchu Lakshmi, his role in 'Baahubali' etc in an interview with us.

Excerpts.

Confusion

In 'Dongaata', I played Venkat, who kidnaps people for money. Lakshmi Manchu played a top heroine and Venkat's gang try to kidnap her. The plan goes awry and a confusion is created. There will be a lot of fun in that confusion created. How Brahmanandam gets involved in it will be interesting.

Unexpected elements

The film will have unexpected elements. The interval bang and climax will be the highlights. There is no love track between my and Manchu Lakshmi's characters. The film is only a crime comedy and focuses only on it.

Turning point in my career

I was not the first choice for the film, but I am very happy that I got the chance to play such a good role. It has a lot of scope for acting. I was really excited when I watched the trailer of our film recently. Definitely the film will be the turning point in my career.

'Money' genre

People are asking if the film will be like 'Money'. Yes. It is a film which definitely falls into that 'Money' genre. But it is very updated and stylish entertainer. Our director Vamsi Krishna wants everything to be finer. We discussed about how everyone should look like in the film when director narrated the story.

Debutante but experienced

Vamsi Krishna Krishna is a debutante, but he worked in the editing department of Srikar Prasad and in the direction department of Gautham Menon for nearly 8 years. He also looked after production in Mohan Babu's banner. So he has experience in all the departments. He directed the film as if he is a very experienced director.

Good friend

Manchu Lakshmi is a very good friend of mine. We enjoyed shooting very much and completed it very quickly. She also didn't compromise regarding the production values of the movie.

Not such an actor

I am not such an actor, who only wants to play lead roles. I will definitely act in a film, if my character good. After my first film 'Karma', I was offered the baddie role in Pawan Kalyan's 'Panjaa'. I also played a very important role in 'Run Raja Run'. So I am ready to do not only lead roles, but all types of characters.

Will direct only then

My first film, 'Karma', was acclaimed. But it didn't run well in the theatres. There is a college in Vizag in which the film is screened every two weeks.

As I was born and brought up in USA, my mindset is a little bit different from the mindset of the audiences here. So I decided to turn director again only after understanding about the tastes of audiences here.

Good role in Baahubali

I played a good role in 'Baahubali' and it has 20 minutes duration in the first part. I can't reveal much about the film and my character now.

Upcoming films

I am currently doing 'Kshanam' produced by PVP banner. Adah Sharma is the heroine and Anasuya plays an important role in it. After that film, I will do a movie in the direction of my brother Adivi Saikiran.

With that we rounded off the interview.
