It was with the aim of making a distinguished film that will become one of the most wonderful visual poetries in the history of Telugu cinema, that Yelamanchili Sai Babu (producer) started off with the production more than a year back. Directed by Bapu, the amazing maker with an aesthetic oeuvre to boast of, the film that has been in production for a long time, is releasing on Nov. 17.

The film's songs, set to tunes by Maestro Illayaraja, have mesmerized the listeners, says the producer.

Saying that the wait of the audience to see Balakrishna in the avatar of Lord Ram is over, the makers say that Sri Rama Rajyam is a complete devotional flick.

Much, over much, was spoken in hush hush tones when Nayanatara was selected to play Goddess Sita’s role. Let the sceptics be reminded that Bapu is not a superficial maker. When he cast Nayan for the role, he must have had a vision in mind.

Our gut feeling is that Sri Rama Rajyam would be a one-of-its-kind mythological caper, which cannot be compared with any yesteryear film of that genre. We could see a human and youthful Rama with a spirit for celebration.
