Towards the end of last year and till this Sankranthi, there was a flurry of releases.

Starting from the biggest of them all Chiranjeevi, down to the newcomer who came yesterday, everyone had a release.

Nags, Venky, Pawan, NTR, Mahesh, Balaya, Sumanth…name any one. All of them had a film released.

One man missing from the list was of course Prabhas. After Adavi Ramudu, which was sometime after mid-last year, Prabhas went into a seeming hibernation.

Adavi Ramudu, the trade analysts are saying, broke even. But it was not a hit in the true sense of the term. Especially for a man who had given Varsham --- the biggest hit of 2004.

Anyway, the truth of the matter is Prabhas did not go into hibernation he was busy with several projects including the all important one with Krisna Vamsi.

Titled Chakram, the film also stars Asin and Charmi. Anyway, this film, set for release this season, is important for Prabhas in many ways. If it is a hit then it will certainly push him ahead of the likes of Pawan and NTR Jr.

But if it fails, then he may have to start all over again. Though he has several other films in his kitty (M S Raju's, the one with his uncle Krishnam Rajua and Chatrapathi), Prabhas knows that Chakram will decide which way his career will revolve.

He says the film is shaping well. For the director Krishna Vamsi too it is a make or break film.
