Baba Vanga is a well-known Bulgarian mystic who passed away in 1996. As 2022 is fast nearing, her "predictions" for the year have been doing the rounds on the Internet. It may be noted that there is no documented evidence of Vanga making those predictions in the first place.

As per an MSN report, Vanga predicted a colossal locusts attack on agricultural lands in India. She also said that there is going to be an immense famine. Why would there be a famine when India has been over-producing wheat and rice? Last year, child prodigy Abhignya Anand from Karnakata said that locking down agri activities might result in a famine. It was a baseless prediction. Looks like clairvoyants/astrologers don't know the meaning of famine in the first place.

Coming back to Vanga, she also predicted that a drinking water crisis will affect many cities in 2022. She is also believed to have added that a fatal virus will be discovered in Siberia. Wonder why poor Siberia was chosen for the dire prediction by Vanga or the rumour-mongers advertising her.

Last but not the least, there is also the prediction of earthquakes and tsunamis hitting many parts of the Earth.

It may be noted that there is no truth in the claim that Vanga had predicted the election of Obama and the September 11 attacks on the Twin Towers in the US. A lot of legends that go in her name are a hoax.
