Lal Jose will be presented with the Bharathan award for the year 2005 initiated by the Bharathan cinema academy.

The award is given for his remarkable presentation of a sincere story in Achanuranghatha Veedu. Salim Kumar gets the special award for the best actor for his performance in the same film.

The award for best art direction goes to Pradeep for Daivanamathil while the award for best debut goes to Saiju Kurup for his performance in Mayookham.

The awards will be presented on November 18 at the regional theatre, Kozhikode.
