Munthirivallikal Thalirkumbol movie producer Sophia Paul recently revealed that the team wanted to cast Bollywood actress Vidya Balan to play the role of Mohanlal's wife Aniyamma in the movie. Though Vidya was impressed by the character of a neglected homemaker, the actress had to opt out due to date issues.
Later, the team roped in Meena for the role of Anniyamma, considering her most celebrated onscreen chemistry with Mohanlal. It is needless to say, Mohanlal and Meena once again created magic on the silver screen which is reflected from the movie's box-office collection too. This Jibu Jacob directorial will soon be remade in Telugu and Tamil. Stay tuned!.
