Chiranjeevi hails KTR, Boyapati & announces new project

Chiranjeevi began his speech by expressing his gratitude for his fans.  "After I returned to cinema from politics, you showered your abundant love when I did 'Khaidi No. 150'," he commented.

"I and KTR were bench mates in the Assembly.  He used to speak very less.  He used to be a 'vinaya vidheya rama'.  But he is not a vidheya rama.  He is a dynamic leader who can befuddle his opponents with his speeches.  They used to call me 'daring', 'dynamic' and 'dashing'.  These adjectives are apt for KTR garu.  He has proved how perseverant he can be twice - during GHMC elections and the recent assembly polls," Chiru added.

Chiru revealed that it was he who advised his son to work with Boyapati as an out-and-out mass film is what he needed after films like 'Dhruva' and 'Rangasthalam'.  "He will be seen as a saviour, a protector in the film.  I had heard Boyapati's line before he did and it had stayed with me. The trailer is so good that I secretly said, 'Sabaash'," Chiru said, delivering two punch lines from the movie in the process.

Megastar hailed the production values and Boyapati's vision to go to Azerbaijan to can certain scenes.

Chiru revealed that he has signed up to do a movie for DVV Danayya. "It will be directed by Pawan Kalyan's close friend, Trivikram Srinivas.  The project has come into existence because of Ram Charan.  Danayya is one producer who is damn lucky.  After 'Bharat Ane Nenu' this year, he has 'Vinaya Vidheya Rama' and the RRR movie on hands.  It has been my long-time wish to work with Trivikram," Chiru said.

He said that 'Tammudu' (Pawan) is in Switzerland with his family.
