It has been reported that Chiyaan Vikram one of the topmost star actors of Tamil cinema has been admitted to a private hospital in Chennai after suffering a heart attack. However when we got in touch with his PRO Yuvaraj he has clarified that the National Award winner had only high fever and is stable right now at the Kauvery Hospital in Alwarpet. Vikram was supposed to take part in the audio launch of Mani Ratnam's 'Ponniyin Selvan' this evening at 6pm. He plays the important character of Aditya Karikalan. The film with music by A.R. Rahman also has Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Trisha, Jayaram, Prabhu and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan among other top actors. The film is releasing on September 30th.

Vikram's next release is going to be the cyber thriler 'Cobra' on August 11th this year. The film directed by Ajay Gnanamuthu has A.R. Rahman's music with Srinidhi Shetty playing the female lead and Indian cricketer Irfan Pathan as the chief antagonist.
