The remake rights of Lal Jose’s Classmates were bought by a Telugu filmmaker for a very high price. The film is going to be remade in Telugu with newcomers in the lead roles.

Also the remake right of Suresh Gopi’s blockbuster Chintamani Kola Case was also sold to Tollywood. Stunt director Vijayan will make his debut as the film's director. Popular Telugu actor Srihari is going to play the lead role.

The film would go to floors in November. Similarly Naren-starrer Chithiram Pesuthadi, which marked his debut in Tamil, is also going to be remade in Telugu. Suryakiran will direct this film.
