Corona scare: Shirdi Saibaba Temple closed down indefinitely

The famous Shirdi Saibaba Temple in Maharashtra has announced its closure from 3 pm Tuesday. The shut down is indefinite and will be in force till further orders.

"Shri Saibaba Sansthan Trust, Shirdi to close temple for devotees from 1500 hours today till further orders," a news agency report by ANI said today.

With the COVID-19 threat looming large, the Temple has advised devotees to postpone their arrivals.

"The Temple has behaved responsibly. All religious places should follow this example. Social distancing alone can save us," a commentator has said.
