Director K.V.Anand's father K.M.Venkatesan, aged 74, has passed away last night in a private hospital in Chennai where he was admitted for the treatment of an age related ailment.

The mortal remains will be kept at their Adyar residence and the final rites will start by evening today.

Anand's directorial 'Kavan' has been scheduled to hit the screens this Friday (March 31) and it is highly unfortunate that the filmmaker has sustained such a huge personal tragedy, a few days ahead of the release of his film.

IndiaGlitz conveys its heartfelt condolences to K.V.Anand and the other members of his family.
