When Devi Sri Prasad bagged Chiranjeevi's 150th film and Balakrishna's 100th film, we knew no other music director could have made it. Such is his stature and such is the demand for him among superstars that it took not many by surprise when the Megastar publicly sought DSP's services for his VV Vinayak directorial.

As DSP was composing music for a historical, a rare genre both for the industry and for himself, many were excited to taste his Midas Touch. It's now time, however, for DSP and Balakrishna's fans to be disappointed, at least may of the fans.

The news is that DSP and Krish have made up their mind to not partner for a film that requires the former to work under a tight, inflexible schedule. As Team Krish is bent on completing Gautamiputra Satakarni by this year end come what may, DSP is learnt to have expressed his inability to be on board. Wonder if Krish has advanced the schedule meanwhile, thereby rendering it difficult for the ace musician to clinch it.

If Krish has advanced the schedule, it makes sense to ask what the reason might be.

DSP swung into action as soon as his name was announced. He began recording a song in the US within days.
