Choregrographer-turned-hotshot-Director Farah Khan is a busy lady. She judges a dance competition in Kolkata in the morning, a music session with AR Rahman for her forthcoming ‘Om Shanti Om’ in Chennai in the afternoon and back to Mumbai by the evening. That’s a choc-a-block schedule any businesswoman must be wary of. But not this effervescent Khan! She is enjoying it all till the hilt. Coming from a humble background with no godfathers to support, Farah Khan is at the top-of-her-game.

She is looking forward to ‘friend’ Karan Johar’s long-awaited ‘Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna’ where she has made the likes of Amitabh Bachchan, Shahrukh Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Preiti Zinta and Rani Mukherjee dance to Shankar-Ehsan-Loy’s tunes. Her choreography in the hit ‘Rock-n-Roll Soniye’ is being talked about with reverence. She has also been instrumental in helping her husband Shirish Kunder get a plum project like ‘Jaan-e-man’ which has been making news for the historic distribution rights worth Rs 7 crores in the Mumbai territory.

Farah Khan has broken all stereotypes. Being a woman she doesn’t espouse for women protagonists only in her films. Her cinema is Manmohan Desai brand of make-believe-fantasy cinema with the sole aim of entertaining people. More power to Farah Khan.
