Hyderabad techie commits suicide in Malakpet

N Mounika, a 33-year-old software engineer, has committed suicide at her parental home in Hyderabad's Malakpet on Sunday.

As per a statement by the police, the victim hanged herself from a ceiling fan on Sunday evening. Her parents took her to Yashoda Hospital as soon as they stormed into the room. By the time Mounika was brought to the hospital, she had died.

A case has been registered to ascertain what drove the woman to take the extreme step. A married person, she was living separately from her husband Abhishek. Survived by a 10-year-old boy, Mounika had been living with parents for 1.5 years.
