A Vijay Devarakonda fan is disappointed.  He/she is sad that most reviews have said that the 'Arjun Reddy' actor has been overshadowed by others in the film.  What Vijay tells the fan is interesting.  

"Reading the multiple opinions, good and critical, I will tell you this - sometimes you've got to be team player, it's not always about trying to outshine, it's about taking those singles and giving the star batsman the strike so She can hit it out of the park," the actor notes. 

He adds, "My sole duty on this film was to be a support system to Madhurvani first, Savitri's story next and Mahanati the film finally.  In all consciousness, I knew I was playing a small part in the bigger picture that came from Nag Ashwins genuine heart."

He recently said that 'Mahanati' is not his film, but 'Taxiwala', to be released soon, is. "And starting next month with 'Taxiwala' - and followed by bilingual 'NOTA', wear shoes, no loose clothing and take safety precautions because meeku Fireworks eh. Lots of love," Devarakonda says.
