Meendum Meendum, a Tamil movie starring newcomers, is in the eye of controversy.

The Censor Board is seeing red in the movie.

But quite unlike Sriman's Sorry Enakku Kalyanam Ayiduchu, that supposedly had too much sleaze, Meendum Meendum faces a different kind of problem.

The movie is said to depict a Hindu religious saint as a womanizer and the entire movie revolves around him.

The movie, which went for certification to the regional censor board was denied certification, and the producers later knocked at the doors of Central Censor Board.

However the movie was rejected the certification there too and has been eventually sent to the tribunal.
