India has been witnessing an extremely good rate of recoveries, thereby improving our coronavirus statistics. The Ministry of Health on Monday said that the number of recoveries in the last 24 hours (as of Monday morning) has outpaced the daily new additions for the 44th day in a row.

"In all, 43,851 COVID-19 patients recovered in the last 24 hours against just 30,548 newly detected cases," the Ministry said.

In comparison with Europe and the US, India's daily new cases are quite low. The new cases numbering 30,548 is a historic low. In contrast, Europe and America are experiencing a continuous steep rise in daily new cases," the Ministry added.

High levels of comprehensive testing have resulted in bringing down the net positivity to sustained low levels, the government said.
