The week gone by has seen some most interesting developments. The past few days will be remembered for the Save Sabarimala movement the most. In the entertainment industry, too, a couple of positive developments have taken place.

YS Jagan survives murder attempt

One Srinivas, a waiter, stabbed YS Jagan at the Vizag airport with a sharp 'pandem kodi' knife. While the YSRCP leader and wannabe CM has survived the attack with a minor wound, the TDP alleged that the attacker is a Jagan fan actually. Srinivas' brother too claimed the same. As for YSRCP, it clearly said that the TDP is behind the assassination bid. The AP CM put the ball in the Centre's court as security in the airport is the responsibility of the CISF.

Modi accused of demolishing CBI

In an eventful week, the CBI became the biggest political talking point in the country. CBI chief Alok Verma, after accusing Special Director Rakesh Asthana of corruption, was sent on leave by Modi. Rahul Gandhi and the entire Congress machinery alleged that the PM just demolished the institution. Protesting against this alleged assault on the integrity and autonomy of the CBI, he staged a protest in New Delhi, courting arrest. N Chandrababu Naidu too has questioned the PM over the CBI muck.

Sabarimala arrests rock Kerala

Over 2200 pro-Save Sabarimala movement activists have been arrested in Kerala. The Communist government has come in for huge criticism for the high-handed action. On Saturday, BJP chief Amit Shah lent his support to the Sabarimala devotees, saying that the saffron party stands with him like a rock.

Arjun-Shruti Hariharan controversy worsens

Shruti Hariharan alleged that Arjun Sarja (the Action King) sexually abused her on the sets of 'Vismaya', a 2016 movie. The actor denied and slapped a defamation suit against her for Rs. 5 Cr. His manager, said Shruti, alleged that she is receiving money from international agencies to damage Arjun's image. Worse, he alleged an international conspiracy. Shruti said that Arjun's manager has got her personal phone record and Facebook activity hacked!

Amala Paul 'exposes' director

Amala Paul alleged that Tamil director Susi Ganesan harassed her through double meaning talks and unchivalrous body contacts during the making of a movie. After she made the statements, Susi and his wife allegedly called her and slut-shamed her.

'Shades Of Saaho' scores a record

'Shades of Saaho', a making video of Prabhas' upcoming movie, clocked a mind-blowing 10 million views (YouTube's 8.7 million, Facebook's 1.1 million) in just 24 hours. It has India's highest number of views for a non-trailer/non-teaser making video in 24 hours. It's also most-liked making video on YouTube with 368K likes, beating 2.0's figure of 306K, and most-liked making video on social media with close to 1 million likes. A historic 52 million reach on social media. This is the highest ever for a making video in 24 hours.

Ram Charan adopts a village:

Ram Charan, acting upon Pawan Kalyan's suggestion, decided to adopt a village in Srikakulam. His decision to reach out to the victims of Cyclone Titli came in fro praise from many quarters.

Rajamouli starts out on NTR's look

Rajamouli started working with fitness expert Lloyd Stevens on a "shocking" look for NTR in the RRR movie. Ram Charan is the other star of this magnum opus. It will go on the floors in December.
