Its Irrfan Khan, after Anil Kapoor

Slowly Indian screen talents are getting exported to international markets, which in turn puts our industry on such privileged radar.

After Anil Kapoor created a niche in Hollywood shores it’s the turn of Irrfan Khan to follow the suit. Latest buzz is that the noted actor has been roped in for the popular show on HBO ‘In Treatment’.

For the records, this drama is well acclaimed, by having earned Emmy, Golden Globe, Writers Guild and Peabody Awards. Incepted in 2008, ‘In Treatment’ is five-night-a-week series and revolves around a psychotherapist, Dr Paul Weston and his weekly sessions with patients. The show is inspired from the Israeli series ‘BeTipul’. ‘In Treatment’ has already enjoyed immense through two seasons and its third season will be soon premiered on 25th Oct in the US on Mondays and Tuesdays.

Coming to our Irrfan, it is said that he will play one of the patients of Dr Paul. Academy Award nominee Debra Winger will also feature in the course of the series as a patient. The two will make their appearance in Monday’s episode.

Incidentally, Irrfan has already tasted international fame by having worked in ‘A Mighty Heart’, featuring Angelina Jolie and in the Oscar-winning film ‘Slumdog Millionaire’.
