Baba Ramdev's Patanjali has floated a new product. It's a SIM card in partnership with Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL).
Named Swadeshi Samriddhi SIM card, the product is not yet open to all customers. Only Patanjali's employees can buy it until it's launched on a wide scale a few months later. Touted to be BSNL's best plan ever, at Rs 144, unlimited calls, 2 GB data pack, and 100 SMSs will be on offer.
Baba Ramdev says, "The Swadeshi Samriddhi SIM card offers the benefit of medical insurance cover of up to Rs 2.5 lakh. Besides a life insurance benefit of Rs 5 lakh is also covered. This applies only to a road accident."
