At a time when heroines from Malayalam have succeeded in establishing their supremacy in Tamil filmdom, the heroes from Malayalam are finding the going tough.

Dileep had a disastrous debut in Rajiyam and so was Jayasurya in En Mana Vanil.

It was only Prithviraj, who managed to hog the limelight playing a suave villain in Kanaa Kandein.

Meanwhile, a Tamil movie titled Maandian went to floors starring Jayasurya and Meena in the lead role.

Jayasurya was hoping to set things right in Kollywood with Maanidan.

Unfortunately the movie has been shelved now and Jayasurya has packed his bags to Kerala again.
