Dhanush has made the hottest announcement of the day that Superstar Rajinikanth's 'Kaala' will hit the screens on the 27th of April this year. The much-awaited film is directed by Pa. Ranjith and jointly produced by Wunderbar Films and Lyca Productions.

The film replaces '2.0', which could release only months later. While this film is a compensation as far as Rajii's fans are concerned, it's a whammy for the makers of '2.0' that the magnum opus has got postponed once again.

'Kaala' has music by Santhosh Narayan of 'Kabali' fame. Also starring Nana Patekar, Huma Qureshi, Anjali Patil, Samuthirakani, Easwari Rao, Sampathraj, Sayaji Shinde, Sakshi Agarwal and Arvind Akash, this one is one of the most awaited movies.
