Vasantha Balan who first introduced G.V. Prakash Kumar as music director in 'Veiyil' in 2006 has now completed the new film 'Jail' that has GVP as the hero and the first single 'Kaathodu Kaathanen' has just been released. The song has the magical voice of Dhanush and a surprise in the form of actress Aditi Rao Hydari debuting as playback singer.

The 'Kaathodu Kaathanen' has the signature GVP melody and Dhanush and Aditi have elevated with their fresh rendering that takes it straight to the listener's hearts. Folk based Lyrics by Kabilan and that distinct Vasantha Balan touch in the visuals make the lyric video a must watch as well.

'Jail' has Abarnati of 'Enga Veetu Mappillai' fame as the leading lady of GVP while Yogi Babu, Robo Shankar, Premgi Amaran,, Radhika Sarathkumar, Paandi and 'Baahubali' Prabhakar play other important characters. The film has cinematography by Ganesh Chandra, editing by Antony and produced by Krikes Cine Creations. The release is expected as soon as the lockdown period ends.
