Last month, actor-filmmaker-producer-politician Kamal Haasan floated a clothing line in order to popularize the use of Khadi among the new generation of consumers. And now, the legendary actor has partnered with Fantico, India’s first curated celebrity NFT and fan engagement platform, via Lotus Media Entertainment.

A source says that Fantico will be launching a game-based Metaverse in order to enable the 'Indian-2' actor to have his own world. It's learned that the NFTs are slated to be launched on www.kamal.fantico.io.

What all can be done by Kamal and his fans via the digital avatar? "His fans across the world will get to interact with their favourite star by exploring his world, interacting with his digital avatars, buying memorabilia and souvenirs," the source adds.

A roster of NFTs will be launched soon. They will bring Kamal's fans closer to their favourite matinee idol. Kamal, who has always been at the forefront of experimenting as an actor and a filmmaker, is expected to make his presence felt in the virtual world.

He said that he is excited to explore the emerging intersection of the digital and physical worlds. "My life’s journey of over six decades have blurred the distinction between my personal and professional life will be my offering for this metaverse," the 'Vishwaroopam' actor added.

Abhayanand Singh, who is the CEO Fantico, said that the company is very excited to announce that it will be launching a game-based Metaverse in collaboration with Kamal. This is going to be the first of its kind in India.

The company also hopes that the same will set a trend in the digital-entertainment universe.
