Actor Karthi had last delivered the romantic flick Dev costarring Rakul Preet Singh, and he has since then been busy shooting for his 18th movie directed by Managaram fame young maker Lokesh Kanagaraj and produced by SR Prabhu's Dream Warrior pictures.

The movie revolves around events happening over a night, and is touted to be an action packed, raw gangster flick. Karthi sports a thick beard in the movie, and does not have a female lead. Planned to be wrapped in a single continuous schedule, the film has reportedly reached its final phase of shoot.

With the first look expected to arrive tomorrow, the buzz is that this movie has been titled as Kaidhi (Prisoner). With the official announcement tomorrow, fans of the actor are waiting to see his new avatar. Post this movie, Karthi will begin his next with Bakkiyaraj Kannan, costarring Rashmika Mandanna.
