Mohanlal's Keerthi Chakra, originally slated for release on July 7, is now being postponed every Friday for the fourth consecutive week. Many theatres in Kerala who had paid an advance for this big budget thriller will find themselves in difficulty as Onam weekend is fast approaching and in many centers will have to give way for other Onam biggies, booked well in advance!

Many reports are pouring in as the reasons for the delay, prominent one being the delay in post production. Reports from Chennai studio says that the editing work of this bilingual is still in process. As many of the continuity scenes are missing, editors has to bring in extra work to make the film logical enough to suit a high end film audience in Kerala.

Mohanlal also seems not too happy about the film as he has to bring in and seek advices of his old friend Priyadarsan to Kashmir, for the shooting of scenes which asked for a good technocrat.

In an earlier reports, the delay in release was said due to extra sensorship that the film need from army, before public screenings. Anyway Mohanlal seems to be in a debacle how to save his continuous winning stretch, delivering four super hits in a row. Meanwhile, the latest reports says the flick will now get released on August 4. The film will also be seen in Tamil in the title 'Aran'.
