Kerala declares CoronaVirus as 'state disaster'

As per the directions of Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, CoronaVirus was declared as 'state disaster' after three Keralites tested positive for the novel virus, on Monday night.

Kerala's Health Minister KK Shailaja confirmed the third case of coronavirus in the State, leading to panic in some quarters. The third individual had recently returned from China. "The patient is under treatment at the Kanjangad District Hospital in Kasaragod. The patient's condition is stable. The patient had returned from Wuhan, China," the health minister reportedly stated.

Currently, 2000 people in Kerala are under observation at different hospitals, quarantine facilities and also homes.

A fresh travel advisory issued by the Union Ministry of Health and Family refrain from travel to China and that anyone with travel history in China Welfare read, "Travel Advisory further revised informing the public to since January 15, 2020 and from now on could be quarantined."
