The pre-release event of 'KGF' was held on Sunday.  SS Rajamouli attended the event as the chief guest.

Rajamouli began his speech by greeting actor Yash's fans.  "Some years ago, when I was asked Sai Korrapati which star is rising in Karnataka, he told me an actor named Yash is scoring hits continuously.  Further, I was told Yash is the son of a bus driver, who is billed to become a top star in Sandalwood.  Even though his son is a superstar, his father is still working as a bus driver.  His father once told Yash that he will continue to do his work because it's working as a bus driver that he has made him what he is.  His father is a real superstar," the 'Baahubali' director said.

"I was in Bengaluru in May this year for RRR movie discussions.  Yash was in the same hotel where I was staying.  His team happened to show me the visuals of 'KGF'.  I was blown away by them.  They are truly amazing, original visuals.  They haven't copied it from any Hollywood movie.  They have worked on 'KGF' for 3 years.  They want to make it a pan-Indian movie.  Merely splurging a big budget can't make a movie pan-Indian.  Its subject has to be universal.  'KGF' is truly pan-Indian," Rajamouli said.

Rajamouli revealed that he called up Sobhu Yarlagadda and Sai Korrapati months ago to see if they can do anything about 'KGF' to release it in Telugu.

"Great visuals like in this film can't be had just because the producer is putting money or a hero has given dates.  It's possible only when there is a team effort.  What is truly unique about the Telugu audience is that they warm up to any good movie regardless of which industry it's coming from.  I am really proud of that fact about my people.  If 'KGF' is as good as the trailer, this will become a hit not just in the Telugu States but also across India," he signed off.
