Kharaveludu influenced my political direction: Pawan Kalyan

Pawan Kalyan on Thursday said that the Telugu-language book 'Kharaveludu’, written by Sishta Anjaneya Sashtri, has shaped his political thinking over the years. "The book has shaped my 'Nation first' ideology. When I was going through the failure of my directorial debut ‘Johnny’, my second brother Sri Nagababu presented a copy of the book to me. This great book gave me a political direction," the Jana Sena chief today said.

Marking the World Book Day, the 'Vakeel Saab' actor also referred to a book he came across at a fair in Chennai in his teens. "The great author Bibhutibhushan Bandyopadhyay’s ‘Vanavasi’ transports us into the world of Mother Nature and makes us realize the extent of damage we are to causing to Mother Nature," he says about the book.

Power Star then proceeds to talk about another book. "I came across Devarakonda Balagangadhara Tilak’s ‘Amrutham Kurisina Rathri’ in my teens at a book fair when I was in Chennai. I keep reading and re-reading his works and stories written by him," Pawan writes.
