Veteran actor Krishnam Raju had bid a farewell to films and joined politics years later. He was back in films and has been doing some occasional roles. The yesteryear firebrand Raju has not been able to make a fiery mark in his second innings. Even the meaty and substantial role of a top intelligence officer in Billa was not so very effective. The first Rebel Star of Telugu cinema is now in news for two reasons: for his birthday, which was celebrated yesterday; and because he wants to make a film with a message and a remake of Bhakta Prahallada one day.

Meanwhile, he will first work on a film on the scourge of corruption and how to fight it. Not only will his film tell the menace of the problem as it is but also suggest solutions. What has inspired him to make the film? Well, the rampant corruption in our society is what propelling him to take up the task.

Not just that, he wants to remake Bhakta Prahallada, the Bapu film, in which he was seen in the much-remembered role. Saying that Prabhas is maturing as an actor, he wants to cast the hunk in the role. Well, that will be a big challenge for sure, but you never know an actor’s ability. It was unimaginable for many to see a glamorous star like Nag as Annamayya but he disproved his detractors.
