Mohanlal has completed his shooting for the Hindi film Sholay. Lal who joined the sets way back in November has completed his role in three schedules. Mohanlal plays the role of Thakur that Sanjeevkumar played in the original.

Ram Gopal Varma who has high appreciation for the actor says that the role is differently etched out from the original and Mohanlal has also presented it with his usual flexibility. The film also has Ajay Devgan in the lead role.
