Narendra Modi today held his Union Cabinet meet in strict adherence to social distancing norms. Modi and his Ministers were seen seated at a safe distance from each other.
This is in consonance with the prevailing health advisories to deal with the COVID-19 health emergency. In his Tuesday address to the nation, the Prime Minister said that social distancing norms apply to everyone in the country, including himself.
It always helps if leaders lead by example. In the past few days, we have seen a number of instances of politicians and even Chief Ministers disrespecting the social distancing norm of maintaining a distance of one metre.
