One of the most anticipated upcoming biopic is 'Nadigaiyar Thilagam/Mahanati' directed by Nag Ashwin and starring Keerthy Suresh as the legendary actress Savithri.  After much deliberation Naga Chaitanya as accepted the offer to play his grandfather Akkineni Nageshwara Rao in the film.  It is a known fact that ANR and Savithri were a hot pair those days in films like 'Devadas' and 'Maya Bazzaar' which were also bilinguals in Tamil and Telugu.

Naga Chaitanya will be shooting on the 14th and 15th for his portions in 'Nadigaiyar Thilagam' while his wife Samantha also has a pivotal role.  Dulquer Salman plays Gemini Ganesan, Mohan Babu is S.V. Ranga Rao and Vijay Devarakonda, Junior NTR and Anushka are also said to be in the cast.
