The recent talk of Malluwood is all centered about Nayantra's walking out from the Joshy Film 'Janmam'. It is said that Nayantra who agreed to do a small role and a song in the film, walked out of the film even after receiving her full payment. Malayalam Cine Technicians Association (MACTA) is planning to boycott the actress from Malluwood, following the walkout.

Meanwhile the actress has something else to say, "I had promised to veteran director Joshy, to do a special appearance in a song as actress Nayantra. Due to my heavy respects to the director, I had taken two days off from my busy Telugu schedule and flew from Hyderabad to Coimbatore and from there by road to Pollachi to the location of the film. But on reaching Pollachi, I was shocked to hear from a production manager and writer S.N.Swamy that I had to play a small but important character in the film along with a song. The writer has even started to explain the type of character I was expected to perform and I resisted the attempt. I had agreed to do the film in the first place just because I play myself. And now to do second fiddle in a Malayalam film is suicidal for my career".

Nayantra is also complaining that she was also not allowed to meet the director even after her waiting for a day.

As many in the circuit believes that the makers of the film did deliberately made an attempt to cash on Nayantra's new mileage, the actress in all probability may be spared this time from showing a red card.
