After hitting big success in Kerala theatres, Mammootty's last release 'Best Actor ' will now be remade in Kannada. The superstar of Sandalwood Upendra, who watched the movie was thrilled to see the movie and identify its prospects that he immediately agreed to act in the lead and also to produce the movie. Martin Prakkat, who debuted through this film as the director will call the shots in Kannada version also, which will start canning within six months.

Upendra hasn't suggested much changes in the story lines and believe that the movie will be another important film in his career.

Martin Prakkat who has recently received the awards for best debutante director for the film, is even more thrilled to receive this offer for a remake.
