Ever since Rang De Basanti became a hit, Siddharth is impossible to get away from news.

The young hero is now nation-wide figure. But he thinks NVNV (Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana) was the real turning point for him. It is the film that convinced me that I had an actor in me, he says, looking back at the film that was perhaps the biggest hit in Telugu in 2005.

And the success of NVNV also made him a surrogate Telugu boy.

Siddharth Suryanarayan (that is his real name) now feels very close to Hyderabad. In fact, he goes to the extent of saying that Hyderabad and Delhi are the two places where he feels at home. Mumbai and his hometown Chennai don’t offer him that feeling.

Siddharth says that though he is at the stage of his career where he would like to do more films, ‘I will not do movies if I am not convinced about its worthiness’. In a sense, he wrote the script for Chukkallo Chandrudu simply because he was not getting the offers he was hoping for.

And he thinks his knowledge and understanding of the city and its ethos helped him to come up with such a good script.

Siddharth is very keen that he does quality work in Telugu. His films in Telugu include one with Dil Raju (Bommarilu) and another with the man who gave him the biggest hit NVNV --- MS Raju.
