Social media influencer Chaithanya Prakash, who hails from Kerala's Pathanamthitta region, is all set to make her acting debut in cinema. Th 19-year-old youngster who has over 1.4 million Instagram followers had recently hit the headlines after Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor invited her to promote his upcoming movie ‘Shamshera’. She also hit headlines when she danced with the actor during her time at the promotion there.

Now, the latest is that the actress has been roped in to play the lead role in an upcoming campus thriller titled 'Haya', directed by Vasudev Sanal of God's Own Country fame. Media person Manoj Bharti is writing the screenplay of the film. Principle photography is by Jiju Sunny and editing is by Arun Thomas. Chaithanya was initially a tik-tok star. However, after the app was shut down in India, she shifted to Instagram reels and instantly won the hearts of many. From her movie recreated scenes to her dance videos, all her content often tops trending list. Apart from Haya, she has also finished a film called ‘Ronaldo Chithram’ directed by Renoy Kalloor. Both films are expected to be released soon. Fans are hoping that Chaithanya, who is a shining star in the world of Instagram, will prove her excellence in the world of cinema as well.
