With 50 new cases reported in Telangana on Thursday, the total number of cases reported in the State has mounted to 700. Of these, 496 cases are active.
Of the 50 cases 16 were from Suryapet. And 25 were from GHMC.
Health Minister Eatala Rajender has noted that 81 people contracted the virus due to 6 families who had been to the Tablighi Jamaat Markaz in Delhi. Twenty from Talab Katta have tested positive because of coming into contact with one Tablighi Jamaat returnee.
The Health Minister urged the contacts of Markaz returnees to come out and get tested so that the government wouldn't have to waste resources on tracing them.
