Telangana: Elder brothers lose, younger brothers win

This election has seen a curious result for three families. Three elder brothers have lost and their respective younger brothers have won from three different constituencies.

From Nalgonda, Komatireddy Venkatreddy of Congress has lost to TRS' Kancharla Bhoopal Reddy. Venkatreddy's brother, Rajagopal Reddy of Congress, has won from Munugodu against Prabhakar Reddy of TRS.

The next curious case pertains to Kondagal. Revanth Reddy of Congress was giving sleepless nights to TRS in the past. To defeat him, TRS aggressively fielded Narendar Reddy, the brother of Minister Patnam Mahendar Reddy. With KTR, Harish Rao and others spending their energies (they coordinated with the party cadre from the smallest to the highest level) here to defeat Revanth Reddy, the Congress candidate has lost badly. However, Mahendar Reddy has lost the election to Rohit Reddy of Congress in his constituency.

Telangana: Elder brothers lose, younger brothers winIn Khammam district, Congress candidate Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka has defeated TRS' Lingala Kamal Raj. On the other hand, Mallu Ravi (Bhatti's brother) has lost in Jedcherla to TRS' Lakshma Reddy, the former Minister, who has won with a 40,000 vote majority.
