Telangana logs 1,256 new Covid-19 cases in 24 hours

Telangana has reportedly logged 1,256 cases in 24 hours (as of August 9, 8PM). This brought the cumulative caseload in the State to 80,751.

With 10 deaths in the 24-hour period, the cumulative fatality number stands at 637. The number of recovered cases stands at 57,586, with 1,587 recovering in the past 24 hours.

Case fatality rate is 0.78%. The cumulative recovery rate stands at 71.31%, which is more than India's cumulative recovery rate of 68.78%.

The total number of active cases now stands at 22,528. As many as 15,789 individuals are in home or institutional isolation in the State.

As for the availability of regular beds under government, the number stands at 12,284. Oxygen beds are 5,861 in number, while ICU beds are 2,251 in number. The total number stands at 20,396.
