With the arrival of a number of new movies recently, the top 5 list of films has changed much from that of last week.

1. Vinodhayathra - This family entertainer, directed by veteran Sathyan Anthikad and starring Dileep and Meera Jasmine, has ended the drought of hits in Dileep's career. The film which is still running in around 22 centres, is undoubtedly the biggest hit of the season.

2. Goal - Director Kamal seems to be in gain again, directing a host of newcomers in a film with football and boarding school as its backdrop. The film which may not be a big hit, but will survive enough to become a break even.

3. Khakhi - The second week saw the revival of this film which was affected by Bad mouth in the first week. Mukesh and Prithviraj teams up to make this, an attractive flick for the family audience with enough sentiments and action.

4. Big B - A stylishly fashioned tribute to Mammootty machismo, this is yet another winner for Mammootty, after Mayavi. Directed by Amal Neerad, the film has entered its fifty days in major stations. It seems that the narrative style and mood of this action thriller may prove to be a trendsetter in Malayalam cinema.

5. Chotta Mumbai - Mohanlal has been impressive in this out-and-out comedy role. Director Anwar Rasheed proves that he is not a one film wonder and puts his own stamp on the film which is a pacy thriller .The film has already become an earner even after made in a budget of 3.5 lakhs.
