Tovino Thomas' Neelavelicham First Look is Here!

Tovino Thomas-Ashiq Abu's 'Neelavelicham is one of the most awaited movies of Mollywood. Recently, the makers of the movie unveiled the first look post of the movie and has generated huge buzz around the project. Sharing alongside the first look poster, the makers unveiled that the movie will hit the big screens on December this year. Sharing the poster, Ashiq Abu wrote, "This December #neelavelichammovie" The picture has Tovino Thomas in traditional attire with a white shirt and mundu. The silhouette of the actor also reveals that he has a briefcase in his hand.

The expectations are huge for ‘Neelavelicham’ among the audience, as the movie is based on the most celebrated works of the veteran Malayalam writer Vaikom Muhammad Basheer with the same title. Earlier, this short story was made into a movie titled Bhargavi Nilayam in 1964 that starred Prem Nazir, Madhu, and Vijaya Nirmala in lead roles.. The horror drama stared Prem Nazir, Madhu, and Vijaya Nirmala in the main roles. Also, it is for the first time Aashiq Abu is attempting a horror genre with the upcoming movie. Neelavelicham has actress Rima Kallingal playing the female lead. She will most likely reprise the character of the ghost Bhargav, a role which was essayed by Vijaya Nirmala in the original movie. The upcoming project also stars Uma KP, Rajesh Madhavan, Roshan Mathew, Shine Tom Chacko, Pooja Mohanraj and Devaki Bhagi in pivotal roles. Bankrolled under the banner of OPM Cinemas, the movie's cinematography is by Gireesh Gangadharan and music is by Bijibal.

Meanwhile, Aashiq Abu’s previous outing was with the Tovino Thomas starrer ‘Naradan’. The film received mixed responses from the audience and is currently streaming on OTT platform.
