Trailer Review: Pantham

Things that happen only in typical mass-masala Telugu films happen in 'Pantham', too. The hero can pull off big-ticket adventures even while indulging in some fun with the heroine, who here is routinely enamoured of his handsomeness and manliness.

While what the hero is fighting is not clear from the Trailer, he has quite a few pet agendas. From irresponsible citizenry to bureaucratic red-tape, his grouse is against them all.

If Mehreen Pirzada plays a glam doll (an unthinking one at that?), comedian Prudhvi is ready to become a 'bakra'. Besides Prudhvi, Srinivas Reddy and Jayaprakash Reddy can also be expected to deliver laughs. If Sayaji Shinde is a top cop investigating a shattering robbery, Pavithra Lokesh (seen in a meaty role once again after 'Sammohanam'?) has a semi-senti role.

Gopichand, apparently playing a semi-intense role in 'Pantham', is looking much more confident than in 'Gautham Nanda'. Also starring Sampath Raj and Mukesh Rishi, 'Pantham' is clearly an actioner also featuring bit players like Ajay and 'Kalakeya' Prabhakar.

Prasad Murella's visuals are convincing. Ramesh Reddy's dialogues should be enlightening. Directed by K Chakravarthy, the film's screenplay is by the director and Bobby (KS Ravindra). Produced by KK Radha Mohan on Sri Sathya Sai Arts, this is Gopichand's 25th movie. Music is by Gopi Sunder. Art direction is by AS Prakash.

The film will hit the screens on July 5.
